Restorative Therapy

This offered strong initial proof that ART had some merit as a theory of attention restoration. An early research by Hartig, Mang, and Evans in contrast two teams of vacationers and a management group on performance in a task that requires excessive directed attention. One vacation group vacationed in an urban space, while the opposite vacationed in a wilderness space. In the second stage, the real restoration begins; after a task or exercise that requires focused and directed attention, it is straightforward to really feel depleted and drained. The psychological fatigue recovery stage allows that directed consideration to get well and be restored to regular levels. ART hypothesizes that nature has the capability to resume consideration after exerting psychological energy, for example, after spending sleepless nights studying for exams, or working tirelessly on a project or assignment.
